Sonny is just a little nickname for Sonja. Truth is, no one really calls me Sonny in reality. I almost wish I was called Sonny. Also, it's Area for a few reasons: Place was taken, and second, it's my own. It's me, and I can write my feelings, whenever I want, and people can read about it, and learn about me. It's great. Lot's of my friends have tried making blogs as well. Sometimes it doesn't work, and I will admit it, and I'm sorry, but it's just so funny seeing people try, and fail. Whatever, at least you gave it a shot!!
I've been on the internet for a long time, though most people don't notice it. Since 2004 I've been online. Though the 1st anniversary of Sonny's Area is December 20th, 2007, I was still there before 2007. It's a long story. Heck, I've got a whole page to explain myself. Here goes the "long story:"
At first, my dad wanted all of the kids, (Me and my 2 older brothers, Sam and Ben) to get into writing and blogging. So what he did, is he created a "family" blog that no one knows about and no one can visit. (cannonballshooters.com) It's locked, and you need to have the special family password. Ha.. I so badly want to shout it out to you all so you can see what a bad, yet so kiddy cute of a writer I was in the beginning. It totally helped though to have the experience.
After a while, Sam stopped blogging. He seemed to not enjoy the concept. Oh well. That's his problem. Meanwhile, I am loving it. I could tell that dad loved that I loved it. I was like, "Oh my gosh daddy this is something great to blog about I wanna blog about it right now can we go home??" That's me for you. Ben did it every now and then, but pretty much only when dad told him to. Otherwise, the whole blogging thing with ben didn't quite work out. Oh well.
Later, around 2005, I started writing on my dads blog. Well.. not exactly the creative writing I do on my own here, but he was paying me $1 per description. I had to write descriptions for domain names that he was trying to sell. My dad owns several hundred domain names that all go something like, www._____blog.com. I honestly never liked doing that, because I couldn't express myself at all in the descriptions. That's like writing descriptions for bandaids. Ehem, let's see, "This bandaid is very flexible and absorbs any blood from your cuts, keeping you perfectly safe."... So not me. that's just monotone voice speaking.

Soon, in 2007, I finally got my own blog. So I can write whatever I want, and who cares if I get paid or not. I just like it! Sure, I sometimes never have the time, but it doesn't mean I have forgotten. I'm planning to blog my whole life. People are gonna be like.. wow.. she has some blogging history there.. then they will go out, do the classical thing, and try to start there own blog. Sometimes they stick to it, sometimes, people aren't meant to blog.
So that's how it all started. I'm glad it did.
What else can I tell you... I have glasses. I've had them all my life. When I was a few months old, I had surgery done on my eyes, because here's a freaky fact about me: I was born cross-eyed. Yeah, pretty strange. But it's all fixed now! I wear glasses all the time. Personally, I really wish I could just have contacts, because you don't have to worry about breaking the lens on contacts, or worry about twisting them, or scratching the lens, or whipping the lens which eventually makes it worse with all the streaky blurry marks. See all the annoying things you have to deal with with glasses? It's just not right.
For hobbies.. I LOVE to dance, I've been doing it since I was 3, I love singing, but usually when I'm alone. I get nervous when I sing infront of people. (Wait till you see me, Sonja Heels, on American Idol!! They lowered the minimum age to 15, so look out peeps! I'll probably forget the words..haha) Reading and blogging, and baking banana bread.
Favorite color.. (look at me, I'm just trying to get out basic information that doesn't hurt to throw out there) I like gray. .. yeah, gray and dark turquoise. I also love the combination of peachy pink and tangy orange. That's going to be the theme of my new room at my moms. :)
For sports, I was on my town swim team for a few years, but then I quit when I came to the age that I had to flip turn in competition. I can't even do a summersault. Pretty pathetic. Basically, that scared me off and I wasn't swimming for a couple years. This year, going into 8th grade, I'm going back. I've learned how to flip turn, just after a couple days of practice in the neighborhood pool. I regret quitting.
So I'm a swimmer, and a dancer. I have much experience with tap dance... and a bit of experience with ballet. Also, I'm a shot putter on the track team at school. You feel very superior to everyone when you're a shot putter, because everyone can't imagine doing it. All I can say is, it's all about technique- and strength.
So that's me for you, thanks for reading, and please come back and visit soon. Often times I'll have a poll running on the side just for the heck of it. I encourage all of you to try blogging for yourself and see if you like it.
I definitely love it.
