Who saw the BEST rick roll in the history of rick rolling on Thanksgiving? I did!! That was HILARIOUS!!
What's rick rolling? Rick rolling is when you trick someone in clicking on a link that ends up to lead to a video that includes Rick Astley's song, 'Never Gonna Give You Up'. For instance, say I e-mail someone and say like, 'Hey, I just saw this cool video! Click here to see it.' And the here link actually does lead to one of the popular rick rolling videos- instead of that cool video that I actually didn't see- the whole point is to trick them to click the link to get rick rolled!! It's an online prank- and I love it!
Here's a few of my very favorite rick rolling videos:
This one was the #1 BEST RICK ROLL EVER! Both a good advertisement for Fosters Home For Imaginary Friends- the TV show, and a hilarious rick roll prank on everyone who was watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade- that was genius! And for a funny ending, Cheese, one of Fosters Home For Imaginary Friends's funny and very random characters, yells, 'I LIKE RICK ROLLING!'
Muppets. Don't mess with them! They might mess up on Ode To Joy, be a little weird, but that doesn't mean they don't know how to rick roll.
The muppets screw up on Ode To Joy:
Hehee!
And their rick rolling:
So go and start rick rolling your friends! You know you want to. I know someone named Rick Klau- I rick rolled him!! Teehee~!

The Beacon Street Girls
Hey, people! I was reading this really cool book series called The Beacon Street Girls, and I thought I should share it with you- cause, you know, whenever I think something's totally awesome, I write about it!
The Beacon Street Girls are about 4 girls named Maeve, Katani, Charlotte, and Avery who all have their own very different personalities- and yet are still the quadruple group of best friends.
Find out in the first book, Worst Enemies/Best Friends how it all started. In the second book, the fights and troubles begin. Someone new to the school, Isabel, tries to join the 4 girls, but not everyone loves her. Already when Maeve is struggling in school, Katani and Maeve start to argue about her, and when Charlotte's dad just might be thinking of moving- right at the wrong time when all her friends need her most. Find out how it all twists up in the second book. I lost my copy of the second book at my overnight camp, so I still haven't found out what happens- and I'm planning on buying another copy soon in January, maybe.
I think The Beacon Street Girls is a great series for young preteen girls like me. It really helps how I handle my friend situations, and at the same time a great story of best friends. Want to learn more about the series? You can! Click here to start your BSG experience. And get groovy- join club BSG! My Thanksgiving Day
Hello! I hope you had a happy Thanksgiving, because I sure did! I did something really fun that day- that had absolutely nothing to do with Thanksgiving. Let me share it with you.
Now, usually, I'd get up at about 7:00 for school. But I am not an early-bird person. At least, I don't like to be during school days. But on Thanksgiving, I was thankful that I could sleep in all I wanted. So I slept in to about 9:00. I watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade with my cousins, and the dancing and organization was just amazing!
Get this. My brother, Sam, built his own potato cannon. Isn't that sick?!? It has air pressurized power. Sam loves to build things and experiment with these kinds of things- he even made a working catapult!! So on Thanksgiving, we just had to get rid of the disgusting 'deflating' mushy gushy mini pumpkins on our porch steps. So we got rid of them the fun way! First, Sam made me get the pumpkins- eeewww!! I had to take the wheelbarrow because I was NOT going to carry all of those in my bare hands. I was the photographer person thingy. We where shooting the pumpkins in a big field behind our backyard. With the help of my cousin, Nathan, we got a couple of potatoes, loaded them in the cannon, and BAM! The pumpkins where squashed. We set them all up in a pyramid formation so we'd be sure to hit it. Here's what it looked like after the potato crash:

The one's that look like they're perfectly fine pumpkins actually really really mushy and wrinkly. It's just that no one has bothered to touch them and find out- until the next paragraph.
Then, for fun, Sam shot a piece of potato in the air. 3 cheers for potatoes!! In the field, there's a pond. I could tell thin ice was already on the pond. Shooting mushy pumpkins with potatoes didn't seem like enough. I know, it's gross, but I just had to take at least 3 of those pumpkins and chuck them into the pond. Crack! Pumpkin guts splattered. Here's what the pumpkin gut ice crash looked like:

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about! And yes, I did wash my hands after dealing with icky mushy gushy pumpkin guts. That was pretty much the highlight for the day on Thanksgiving. That's probably the most awkward thing I've ever done on any Thanksgiving. Hehee!!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Hey, everyone! This is just a post wishing you a happy Thanksgiving!
Always be thankful for all that you have. I know I'm very thankful for my friends and family, and for my brand new room.
Does your family play football on Thanksgiving day? Mine does! And it's always a great game. Our friends come over and play, too! I think it's very fun to do- even though most of the time it's drizzling.
Don't forget the turkey! And remember to keep it away from your pets.. you never know when they might take a little nibble.
Once again, I hope you have a happy Thanksgiving!
Seasons greetings from Sonny's Area

My Face In The Paper
Yo, peeps! Sonny's Area just took a big step up to more people viewing the site!
Here's how the big step began:
So one morning, I'm talking to my dad about more people knowing about the site, and advertising it, right? And then he mentions the newspaper, witch I've been in previous times. I was super excited, and asked him if he could contact them somehow, letting them know about my blog. This would mean a lot more people viewing the site- because a lot of people read The Beacon.
So my dad contacted this dude who works there, and he said he wanted to write an article on my website! And right after I came back from an overnight trip, I went to the interview. It was full of questions I was expecting, but some of them my dad took over. I've never been interviewed for an article in the news paper before- at least, I don't remember ever being interviewed.
The next week, I was SO exited to get home and see if I'd made it in this weeks issue. Once I got home, I flipped through it, but I didn't see any picture of me and my dad anywhere. I flipped through more carefully. And again. And again. I wasn't in this weeks! Now the excitement waited for me next Thursday. I was a bit disappointed. But next week, I was more excited than EVER! I rushed to the mailbox the second I got of the bus. I didn't look- I wanted to save it for inside. I shuffled through the mail, digging and digging for The Beacon. Finally I found it, WAY at the bottom. I threw the rest of the mail aside. I wasn't on the front cover- whatever. I wasn't expecting to be on the front. But yippee yippee YIPPEE!! I was on the second page with a big headline: Local Blogger Finds Outlet At Young Age. I screamed!! Yes, it was one of those super high pitched girly squeaks. My dad read it aloud, and I really liked how they put it.
Just one more step closer to more and more people viewing. More and more and more and more.

iCarly

iCarly
Miranda Cosgrove plays the part of Carly Shay. Carly is the star of a web show she started with Sam, her BFF. You'll meet Sam in a sec. Carly can be very funny when she's angry, and she's hilarious on iCarly. She also is in another show, Drake And Josh, and plays as Drake and Josh's little sister, Megan. Megan always likes to play pranks on them, and frightens Drake and Josh. Very funny, I must say. One of my favorite T.V. shows! (It is usually on right around the same time iCarly shows are on.)
One of my favorite actors, Jennette Mccurdy, plays the part of Samantha Puckett, or as they call her, Sam. Sam gets into a lot of trouble, but can be very funny. She's Carly's little partner on iCarly. She also enjoys criticizing Freddie, who you will meet as soon as you scroll down.
Nathon Kress- like, the cutest guy ever plays the part of Freddie Benson. Or as his full name, Fredward Benson. He's also in the iCarly gang as the technical producer. He makes all the cool affects, controls the monitor witch sometimes they show hilarious videos, and controls the green screen as well. Thanks to Freddie, iCarly has special affects and awesome camera work!
And last but certainly not least, Jerry Trainor. He plays the part of the silly, creative, and artsistic Spencer Shay, Carly's older brother. During almost every show- infact, I think every single show, Spencer is making some kind of sculpture. One episode he is making a sculpture completely out of butter. Another one was a very, very, VERY large cup of coffee that you can use as a coffee tub. Don't worry! It's decaf! Just grab a mug, and somehow dive in!
In the show, Carly and her best friend Sam do a web show called iCarly. The adorable Freddie, is the technical producer for iCarly, and lives right across the hall from Carly. They live in an awesome apartment building together. Sam? I don't know where she lives. She's always hanging with Carly. Sam loves to insult Freddie, because that's just what she does. It's natural to her! But of course she doesn't insult Carly. How did the web show start? I was about to explain that.
It all started when Sam photo docked Miss Brigg's (Miss Brigg's is one of their teachers) head to the body of a rhinoceros, made copies of it, and posted it all over the school. She's always getting into trouble, and if she took the blame this time, she'd most likely be expelled. So.. Carly was so sweet enough to take the blame. She was planning on going to a concert of her favorite band on Saterday, but the punishment was to hold auditions for the talent show exactly at the same time her concert was. They also had to upload the videos online. (Poor Carly.) She made Sam go with her, so they both judged.
Freddie was so kind to be the techy dude that films it all. Between auditions, Carly and Sam joked around. Freddie was filming it, but they didn't know that. When Freddie uploaded all the audition clips online that night, he accidentally uploaded Carly and Sam. They realized this at about midnight, and where super angry. Freddie tried to fix it, and it said the video would be removed by tomorrow morning. Thousands and thousands of people where viewing them, but the comments said things like, 'You guys are awesome!' and 'When is your next video?' 'You guys are so funny! We want more!'. They decided to give 'em more! So they started a web show where no one can tell them what to do, and it can be about anything! Freddie came up with the name iCarly! He said the i could be for internet, and Carly could be for Carly & her co-host, Sam. It was perfect!
That should give you a little idea of what iCarly's like. Watch it for a night or two, and just try it out. Most teens I'm sure will like it. iCarly usually shows on Wednesdays, around 7:00 or 7:30, on Nickelodeon. They also have a DVD with about 14 of their hilarious episodes, and exclusive videos. If you want to buy it, it's about $20. The case has a picture of Carly (Miranda Cosgrove) on the front, surounded by smaller pictures of the rest of the gang.
That's the main idea of what it looks like. You can usually find it in F.Y.E, one of my favorite stores. Click here to find a store near you! iCarly also has CD's of Carly's hit songs, 'Leave It All To Me', 'Stay My Baby', and more. Those can also be found at F.Y.E.
This one I don't have, but want. Once you watch the TV show, I'm almost positive you'll see why I love it so much. I really hope they make more DVD's, so I can watch more of their episodes whenever I want!!
Love iCarly? Do you want more than just the DVD, just the CD, and just the TV show? No problem. Go to www.icarly.com for so many cool pics, videos, blogs, and more!! See things they do you can't see anywhere else. See them sit on stuff and guess what it is, having fun with magnetism, see muffin baskets explode, and SO much more!! So what are you waiting for? Open a new tab and go to www.icarly.com if you want to get you and your family laughing out loud!!
Before you view this video, you should meet Gibby. A friend of Carly, Sam, and Freddie who is a common visitor on iCarly. Sometimes they even paint on his stomach!! Watch the video to find out what he's doing this time!
And don't miss the very first iCarly movie, iGo To Japan! See the full video at www.nick.com/turbo. I hope you like iCarly as much as I do!

Construction: The Designers Way
Part two of the whole big story!!

(We didn't actually have CAUTION tape everywhere, I just think that's something to put on to show there's construction blogging going on!)
If you're wondering what's part one of the whole big story, than you can just go to the Sonny's Area search box and search 'Designer Girl'. Or.. you can click on the underlined 5 on the Calendar, if you are reading this in October, 08.
Practically EVERYTHING was changing about my room. Where the furniture went, the wall color, different sheets, new lamp, new bookcase, new mirror, new matching painted shadow box picture frame, A.C. holes in my ceiling, new closet shelves, and new arrangement on my desk. Plus new curtains!! So, you can tell I cannot WAIT until the room is done. Well, here's how all the putting-together and painting went.
Here's the part that ISN'T the designers way. I don't know what 'way' this is, but I certainly don't like it. But it'll be worth it!!
Just not too long ago, around June, my house got painted red. Not like blinding red, no. For we do not want blind visitors coming, do we? I didn't think so. It was like a brick red kind of red. You see, both my parents really like red. And our house color wasn't very nice.. it was like a dirty white. a dirty bath water white.
After the red house, a new roof. A wind storm had damaged it, so we got a new roof.
After that? That was right around where the A.C. came in. (Now it's in like July or so, now) This one, the construction building part, really interfered with our closets. Why? Because these air tubes where going to be 'hidden' in our closets. So that means we had to take EVERYTHING in our closets and pack em' away in boxes. I left a few long sleeved shirts and sweatshirts at the top, but the rest was hard to get to. But I had a dresser with clothes in it, too. But I was SO used to having most stuff in my closet. What else was annoying about this project? The builders came around like 7:00 A.M.!! And you know what that means. No more silly alarm clock for the next few weeks. Now, our alarm was the doorbell. (At least for me and my bros, Ben and Sam.) Annoying, right? We couldn't press snooze, for there wasn't a snooze. We had to jump out of bed and get dressed zippidy quick. They usually didn't come in the house until a little later though, but still. I did NOT want them to see me all not-dressed and bed head. After a week or so.. the tubes were in. Now that's done. Bwaaaaaaaahhh!!! It's not. We still have to cover them up so they don't look so ugly and weird next to our clothes. (Now it's still around Late June, actually.) I believe it was all done right before I went to the greatest place on earth. (For more info, search in search box: Greatest Place On Earth)
So now that's all out of the way, here's the part of construction that IS the designers way:
The wall color: That we did first- after the A.C. and closet, of course. So that I type first! We picked up the paint on our way home from IKEA. Now, what color is it? The color is called Sierra. It's kind of like a dark yellow.. like mustard kind of color only lighter. It has this little greenish touch to it, too. Its like dull gold with a touch of green. But we picked it because it went really well with my two favorite colors: turquoise and lime green. It was really fun to paint my room with the rollers. But before that, we had to push all the furniture in the center and cover the floors with this blue stuff so it wouldn't drip down, even though we weren't painting the ceiling. But it was so much FUN! With the rollers, and the up and down and the whole transformation.
The new desk chair: I didn't even know it was being built until it was done, by my amazing brother Sam. He loves building stuff, especially big stuff. He helped out a lot in building our tree house (2004), built his own loft (2006 or 2007), along with his own catapult (around 2007), and more. To get to the point, when I saw him with the built chair, I was REALLY happy. (Now, we'd moved back the furniture differently.) I rolled the chair over to my desk and couldn't stop smiling. The chair? I think I explained the details of it in part one, I believe..
The lamp new green floor lamp did not need any putting together, so we just place it next to my bed. We played with the cords so the switch would be easy-reach right at the edge of the bed. (It was one of those switches that was attached to the cords in this oval kind of shape.) Done!
Sheets was as easy as trying to rip open the plastic wrap around them, unfold them completely, find that piece of cardboard that is shoved in the center of the whole bundle and take it out, and then try to put it on the bed. Yeah.. not so easy. It took a little while, like around a half hour or so making it look good with the pillow cases, fitted sheet, and comforter sheet.
Mirror, matching picture frame, and new heart-shaped hook. All painted. You see, I already have all these awesome things, but are just being painted to match my room. We went to one of my favorite stores, Joann's Fabrics for some paint. They have yarn, fabrics, paints, all kinds of wacky fun stuff. I like wacky fun stuff! I painted the mirror turquoise, and made a swirly green 'S' at the top, with to little swirlys next to it. Cute, right? The picture frame, some lines where painted green. And some turquoise. But best of all, it turned out fabulous! The heart shaped hook went through a lot of coats of turquoise, because it was that wood material that isn't very friendly to paint.. but at least in the end it was great!!
At the end of the painting and major parts going on, we moved the furniture in such a way that I adore. My bed is in the corner, where I've always wanted it. Now it's there!! Yippeee~!
Now that everything is in place, I live happily in my brand new room!!
(The bookcase was actually there before I got back from the greatest place on earth. (For more info on the greatest place on earth, search: The Greatest Place On Earth) It's white, and has this lilac kind of dazzle on it. It's about six feet tall, and I can just barely reach the top shelf. I've already filled up almost all of the bookcase. Yes, I have that many books, but some of them I want to give away. Either that or sell them.. but that's another story.)

(We didn't actually have CAUTION tape everywhere, I just think that's something to put on to show there's construction blogging going on!)
