The Mystery Of The Timex Clock

I have an alarm clock. (no duh) Everybody should have one. Everyone should have one that isn't as weird as mine. You see, when I was in Maine for 4 days, my alarm was still set for about 6:30 A.M. It went off, of course, at 6:30 A.M., rather loudly. My dad tried to turn it off, but couldn't figure it out. I don't blame him, especially when he's dealing with my alarm clock. Some are super-easy, and some are much harder than they need to be. He never did turn it off for the whole time I was gone. (Wow! Good thing it wasn't the buzzer!) It was set to one of my favorite radio stations: 96.1. When I came home, it wasn't going off. So who turned it off? That is the mystery of this problem I do not know. But what I do know is where the "off/reset" button is. (I'm like the only one who knows where it is!) It is in the most weird place. You know how there's a top, front, back, etc? Yeah. The snooze button is in a very good place. On the top closest to the front. And guess where the 'off/reset' button was? It was on the top, FARTHEST from the front. That's right. In the way back. There's 3 buttons on the top, and Timex (the company) put the 'off/reset' button in the way back. How wacky is that? Wackier than weird, I'd say. My advice: get an alarm clock that has the buttons in reachable places, and make sure your family knows how to turn off your alarm clock, for future reference.

Kitty Pics 1

Hello! This will be something I'll show a lot on the website- pics of kitties! I hope you like them! :-) (Check out the kitty pics in the labels for more!!)

humorous pictures

Oh boy! Now, whenever you are so busy on the computer, you have your trusty cat to come and help you. Too bad he doesn't have any opposable thumbs.

humorous pictures
This one doesn't make sense to me. In my house, we have a spray bottle with water in it. We spray the cats when they aren't behaving, and they scatter away the second they see it. They know what's coming. So this cat is pretty brave- my cat's would never battle a spray bottle, because what if it accidentally pushes the trigger? It would get sprayed in the face.

humorous pictures
You can definitely count on your cat to 'hold the fishes' while you clean the tank. Let's just hope he doesn't eat them....

humorous pictures
I'm happy for this cat that it's finally realized what is on it's head. If you had something on your head, and you didn't know, you'd want to know, right? Same with this cat. What I find really sad though is that the price tag says 25 cents. That is not the right price for a cat!!

humorous pictures
I'm confused. I thought whenever cat's even get a glance of a dog, they go nuts and either run for their lives in the opposite direction of the dog, or try and practically kill the dog. At least, that's what my cat's do. I don't know about this cat, but it looks like the cat is trying to get a glimpse of the dogs ear. If you look really closely into the cat's eyes, you can see a little evil look in them.

humorous pictures
Ha! He's tired in between two tires! Get it? I know.. I just killed it. Anyway, if I were a cat, I would sleep anywhere else but in two tires. Seriously! That just doesn't look comfortable. One time, my cat Pesky was sleeping in the center of our porch table. Just chilling out on the table. He looked so cute! The sun was coming on him, and he was so relaxed. Poor guy, though, because summer is probably cat's least favorite season. Pesky is black, which attracts sunlight, and he has a fur coat on, so he's pretty hot.

Humorous Pictures
This one is my #1 favorite out of any cat pictures. What I don't really understand though, is how in the world did this person even take the picture? The whole city down below and the clouds in the sky look amazingly realistic, and so do the cats! But how did they take the picture when the cats are like, the size of the Eiffel Tower? Did you notice basement cat's eyes?? They look like--- like-- lights are implanted in their eye sockets or something! I also love how they have all the glorious looking clouds floating around the unusually bright looking ceiling cat.

humorous pictures
Aww! The little kitty is so dang cute!! I thought it would be called paw painting rather than finger painting, because technically, cats don't really have fingers. Sure, they have claws, but those aren't really fingers.

Hunger, Meet Rice

I know a website that can really help hungry people! At www.freerice.com, you can help hungry people by donating rice- just by playing a simple word vocabulary game! Each word you get right, you donate 10 grains of rice! Here is an example of a question that would be asked:

Moist means:
A. Great
B. Damp
C. Tolerable
D. Few
(The answer is damp)Once you get used to it, you can really get high with the amount of rice you donate! My record: 2,000 grains of rice. My advice to help hunger: go to www.freerice.com! :-) So if you really want to help stop world hunger, this is a simple way to do it. Gather a lot of people, and pledge to go on www.freerice.com. Together, we can make a difference.

Nevermind

Never mind! The site's okay, but if you see anything strange, stay away from that page. :-)

Error

Sorry, but www.sonnysarea.com is having some technical difficulties with the site. The home page might be fine, but the other pages
I recommend to stay away from until the problem is fixed. Thank you!

American Idol

It was a very "not-surprising" night last night on American Idol. The top 6. Who is going to go home? That's a good question.

I'm only judging this by what I saw on the night preview what I saw last night. - Let me get this so it's not confusing. I didn't watch American Idol on Tuesday. Why? Because I was doing something else at the moment. So, they have a little preview on Wednesday for what went on on Tuesday.

I just want Carly to get off the show. The tattoos on her arm are bugging me, and don't match
with the outfit that she's wearing. The singing, not too bad, but not too good either.

The Davids: Great! I'm impressed in David Archuleta! He's one of my favorites, actually. David Cook, staying for sure. At least in my opinion. But also, he sort of relates to Michael Johns. -Always in a "rock and roll" type of mood, but I think David Cook can make "rock and roll" songs much interesting then they already are. :-) Thats why, I think, Amanda Overmyer, and Michael Johns got voted off. You know, Amanda and Michael I think just put the "rocking" too far.

Brooke White: Oh my. She needs to stop doing that! She started on her song and lost it, then started over. Not a bad choice, but that tells us that she needs to memorize her lyrics better. She's done that twice already this season and I don't remember ever watching someone other than Brooke make a mistake like that on the big stage. I've been watching since season 4, nothing like that has ever happened on the big stage. I thought she'd be in the bottom 2, but lucky her. I thought she definitely deserved to go on to the top 5!

Jason: Jason, in my opinion, makes such wonderful songs out of (for instance) original radio songs. He can make those sound much better and makes them more alive. When he sang "Somewhere Over The Rainbow", the ukulele made it sound so much better! And of course, his voice made it alive. I know he didn't sing "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" this week. It was just an example on how he makes music "come to live"!

(last but not least) Syesha: I thought she made it a little bid weird this week, but when she did
it again during the results show, I think she did it better. When someone walks over on the platform behind the judges and dances a little, I think they're safe. Even if she doesn't do that, she's safe. At least for this week, I think it's time for her to go next week, you never know.

Who I thought was going home: Syesha

Going home for sure: Carly Smithson!

Harry Potter

I've been reading the series called Harry Potter. It's rather strange, actually, in my opinion. At first in the beginning of 4th grade,  I didn't know why people in my class were so addicted to Harry Potter books. Soon, In the middle of the year I decided to try out the Harry Potter books and find out what was so addicting about them! I did this because, well, I wanted to find out!

Anyway, when I started the first book back in November, 2007. It didn't make much sense in the first few chapters because it started in a very awkward way. These books are about 3 adventurous  kids named Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger. Us humans are called "muggles" in the books, because we are non-magical. I am pretty sure that Hermione is from a "muggle" family, but is a witch. Ron and Harry are wizards! The thing is, there is a school named "Hogwarts" for children like Harry and Ron. But you see, Harry survived the curse that the evil wizard, Voldemort, (in the book you do not say his name, you'd say either you-know-you or he-who-must-not-be-named) gave when he was very young, and that gave him the lightning scar on his forehead, witch makes him unique. The sad part is, his parents couldn't survive Voldamort's powers.  But that also causes mysterious problems too, because they never know if Voldemort is near the castle, or one of his servants is near the castle planning to kill Harry. Right now, I'm in the 4th book. There is a tournament going on between OTHER magical schools similar to Hogwarts. There is supposed to be one "champion" for each school, and there's 3 schools. Harry was too young to compete, so he didn't put his name in the goblet of fire. The goblet of fire spits out random names to announce the "champions" of each school. Apparently, someone put Harry's name in the goblet of fire, and no one knows who. That is the main thing. We don't know who it is, but to find out much more about these books, read them! I recommend these books for ages 10+, because of violence. Enjoy! Caution: 1st book may be confusing at the first few chapters. :-)
